          Auction Bucket

Families in Yolo, Solano and Sacramento counties enjoy an incredible year-round access to water, which makes drowning prevention a key priority. We are proud to play a role in helping make this region one of the best places for families to raise safe and healthy children.

School Fundraising
One of the important ways that SwimAmerica supports our community is participating in school fundraising activities. Our auction “bucket” typically features swim lessons at our school, plus some fun other swim-related toys and accessories. To request a donation, just complete and return a Donation Request form.

Tuck in the Pool Preschool Outreach
SwimAmerica offers local preschools a free educational outreach program based on a children’s story, Tuck in the Pool. This story about a pig who overcomes his fear of swim lessons provides a good framework for an age-appropriate discussion about water safety. The kids also enjoy a fun song to help remember what they learned about water safety, and leave with a small treat to reinforce the messages at home.

We offer Tuck in the Pool as a field trip at our location, or a swim coach can come to your school. The program is designed for 3 – 5 year olds, and normally lasts about 20-30 minutes. To schedule a “Tuck in the Pool” experience for your class, call 530-759-1214 or email swimamericadavis@yahoo.com.

Military Discounts
Starting September 1, SwimAmerica is pleased to support our active US Military families with a 20% disccount. Please contact our front desk for details.

Tuition Assistance

SwimAmerica offers a limited amount of tuition assistance to help families in our community. If you would like to apply for tuition assistance, please complete and return a Tuition Assistance form.

Water Safety Events
Throughout the year, SwimAmerica offers a variety of events to promote water safety to our members and the surrounding communities. From our Water Safety Carnival in the spring to free swim evaluations throughout the year, our educational efforts are based on the Swim for Life Foundation’s Safer 3 program.

The Safer 3 Swim for Life program is a multi-layered educational effort focused on the three primary areas of water safety: Safer Water, Safer Kids, and Safer Response.

  • “Safer Water” focuses on using fencing, gate latches, alarms and other safety equipment around pools and boats.
  • “Safer Kids” stresses the importance of having constant responsible adult supervision around the water and learning proper swim skills.
  • “Safer Response” addresses the importance of learning CPR, first aid and other rescue and emergency response techniques, as well as having a phone by the pool at all times.

Watch our calendar for announcements about special events throughout the year. For more information about Safer 3, go to http://www.swimforlife.org/safer3.
